This is a first-hand account on how Pharmacy works in Istanbul, Turkey.
During a 5-week stay, it is an attempt to understand the processes, structures, and delivery of pharmaceutical care services that exist in their system.
Even more, it is an anecdotal stream of thoughts, events and experiences of the culture and people in the region. I am out to explore new places, meet new people, try new foods, and ultimately return with a deeper appreciation of this unique part of the world.

Here is a video where Erdem is talking about pharmacy education in Turkey. When he explains you will get a feel for how much they push industrial practice in the curriculum. There is no practice counseling patients whatsoever.
